Green Bay, Wis. – The draft of the NFL 2025 took place from April 24 to 26. Many discussions surrounded some players, in particular with the surname Sanders, but Clemson and the South Carolina both had a few players selected in the draft.
Clemson had a season of resurgence when they found themselves sitting at the top of the hill in the ACC once again when they beat SMU in the ACC championship match to win their ninth conference title in the history of the program. The victory also landed them in the play football playoffs, even if it was short -lived with an outing in the first round. The successful season helps three players to be written in 2025.
The first was the secondary Barrett Carter, who went to the fourth round to the Bengals of Cincinatti with the 119th choice in total. Then, RJ Mickens security was selected two laps later, sixth round, by Los Angeles Loaders with the choice in total 214. Finally, the senior ball carrier Phil Mafah was drafted by the Dallas cowboys with the 239th choice in total in the seventh round.
The winger tight Jake Bringstool, the offensive line player Marcus Tate, the defensive line player Payton Page and the bettor Aidan Swanson have all been not recovered, but expect training camp agreements with the NFL teams.
As for their rivals in the state, the five gamecock players have selected in the draft of the NFL 2025 after storming the dry and the world of university football with a very good season. Southern Carolina finished with a 9-3 regular season record and asked many university football fans to believe that they deserved a shot in the university football playoffs.
In total, five gamecocks were selected in the NFL 2025 NFL recovery. Five players were selected in the first four laps, which was the first time in the history of the program. In addition, the five selected players all came from the defensive side of the ball, which was also a program record and most of the school history for a draft.
Nick Emmanwori was the first to get out of the table in the second round by Seattle Seahawks with the 35th choice in total. TJ Sanders heard its name called a few choices later with the 41st choice in total by the Buffalo Bills. Demetrius Knight Jr. was selected 49th in total by the Bengals of Cincinatti. The Los Angeles Loaders have selected Kyle Kennard with the 125th overall choice and finally, Tonka Hemingway was selected 135th in total by Las Vegas raiders.
The Gamecocks were not made because six players have already signed training camp agreements with NFL teams as an un resurcted free agents. Rocket sanders signed with Los Angeles Loaders, Joshua Simon, signed with the Falcons of Atlanta, Bam Martin-Scott, signed with Carolina Panthers, Torricelli Simpkins III signed with the Saints of New Orleans, Alex Huntley is directed to Miami to make bruns of dolphins and signal pledge with the Cleveland Browns.
Admittedly, a good look for the Shane Beamer and its Gamecocks program after a successful season on the field and a good dead with recruitment. Hopefully the two programs will be able to continue to rely on their success in 2024 which could possibly bring another title to the state of South Carolina.
