The ancient Panthers of Caroline, Steve Smith SR, are known to talk about her mind, and on the subject of the choice of the 1st round Tetairoa McMillan Panthers, he had a lot to say. Smith made the headlines in March on a podcast when he wondered if McMillan was the best WR in the project. “He has all the tools, but he leaves a lot of games on the ground, when you are looking for a wide receiver, you need someone who is consistent, who fights for each ball, each drop. I don’t always see that with him.”
Smith then doubled the night of the draft, calling Tmac to the panthers his surprise choice of the draft. He had been public about Texas Wideout Matthew Golden ranked in front of McMillan.

Yesterday, on his podcast 89, Smith tripled, developing on his position on the choice and of course Smitty, did not fall back. “It threw me because now you have good choices later in the rounds, what they call” choice of value “. But when you look at this defense, which has abandoned a ton of points, you don’t really want to add any choice. Obviously, he will be in Charlotte, so I will know him if we choose to have this relationship.

This last sentence definitely makes things somewhat annoying in Charlotte, but Smith explained why the type of game of McMillan feels redundant with the current list. “But what I thought interesting is when you break down this receiver room, you have Adam Thielen, receiver of possession. Jalen Coker, receiver of possession. I guess David Moore is the speed guy? Xavier Legette, possession receiver. And then they just had my dog, Huner Renfrow. Overall Pick Get Jimmy Horn Jr., who is speed, but before the 208th in the sixth round, you wrote what you already had in the room.
It seems that Smith wanted to see one of the defensive players that the panthers were linked to preheating, as a Walker or Walter Nolan milestone, or perhaps an exchange for a receiver with an end speed. “I understand it because it was a need, which had shocked me was that there were a little more players on the defense that I thought you needed to help calm the offensive storm which went up on Bryce Young and the Canales coach on the Caroline’s panthers.”

“What I thought, and what some coaches thought of this recovery room was: ‘Yo, that’s not what we talked about a few hours before the draft. You wrote what you already had in the room and I was shocked when you have a Matthew Golden with speed. I mean, you had (Jayden) Higgins, who went later.”
This is not the end of the Steve Smith / Tetairoa McMillan saga, but I am sure that the Panthers hope that TMAC production on the ground can calm the criticism of the former opinion star.
