If things had gone differently, Melvin Gordon could have played for his hometown team in the NFL.
Green Bay’s packers have never had the opportunity to bring back the Wisconsin badgers who run in the draft of the 2015 NFL, but it was a serious consideration if it had fallen on the day of the draft.
At the draft of the NFL of this year in Green Bay, Gordon told the story of his pre-rapping meeting with the packers at the time and the connection he felt with the team.
The packers told him on the front of them did not expect to write him because they knew he would be out of the table before having the opportunity.
Green Bay chose 30th in this draft after doing 12-4 and went to the NFC championship match the previous year.
Gordon went 15th in total at the expense then-san Diego.
It was certainly not upset to be taken earlier in the first round (and the biggest contract that accompanies him), but he knew basically that it was cool to play for a packers team he grew up looking at Kenosha.
Green Bay did not end up taking a ball carrier in this draft, and they had a disappointing season of Eddy Lacy in 2015 which marked the start of the end of his time with the packers.
Gordon could have given a big boost to the racing game, if they had had the opportunity. It would have been fun for everyone.
