How Colaston Loveland gives the Bears of Ben Johnson a real joker

The selection of Another end tight by the bears In turn 1, when they already had a tight end of $ 10 million a year to Cole Kmet could still mystify there, but should not.

The key to choice was how Coach Ben Johnson Used the tight winger Sam Laporta in Detroit and, although he is a good athlete, Kmet does not have the speed or road capacity to play a completely different position. This is what COLSTON Loveland will play as their tight end “to move”.

No one explained it better than the quarter of the Kurt Warner renowned temple in an interview with WSCR-AM 670 Laurence Holmes and Matt Spiegel.

“I continue to believe that the biggest gap in football is a very good athletic end against, really, whoever covers it but specifically against secondary players because with secondary players, they must read their keys, they must stop the race, they must be in the right field – and they must be able to run and cover the field,” said Warner.

Asking the second to do all of this against a tight end like Loveland, a player who is fast and operates excellent routes but who is in size, is a huge request.

Another aspect of Warner’s inadequacy has seen was not addressed as much, but this is how Johnson wants to burn the defenses with the play of playing action or his alter ego, also known as the racing game.

“Then you build an offensive line, you have a Ben Johnson who likes to play, right?” Warner told Spiegel & Holmes. “Give these seconds who must cover a tight athletic ending a kind of false, a kind of visual who says that we are going to manage football, to make them hesitate while having this athletic guy, gives them an advantage there.”

Warner went to the third level of this situation with personal packages.

“If we can put Cole Kmet and Loveland on the field at the same time (12-person) which will more force a large (defensive) package, a package focused on the defense by the defense,” postulated Warner. “Now we can separate, you know, a guy and he can have some of these wide receiver elements. And you can put defenses in a link. You can put them in space.”

Defense must choose to cover a faster tight end that can actually line up with the wide receiver.

“They need a cornerback to cover it, so now you can put DJ Moore in the slit and now it is covered by a secondary,” said Warner.

This is a situation that could have Moore foaming in the mouth, otherwise Caleb Williams too. Perhaps they just have Luther Burden III in the slit and its speed of 4.40 seconds of 40 yards.

“There are so many different elements because of this inadequacy that can be played in terms of scheme that you direct, can play in terms of personnel that you perform, or even training that you want them to perform to offer favorable matches for different guys in different ways,” said Warner.

With this type of advantage, the only thing the bears could miss is the power to help take advantage of certain situations where the defense chooses to leave additional DBs on the ground to face Loveland.

A quick back alone will not do this. The Guy Power can really make a defense pay with smaller defensive personal packages on the ground.

Perhaps the Poles GM Ryan soon get to work to find this piece for the rear field, or they arrive at the conclusion that they had this piece throughout Roschon Johnson.
