Many discussions have taken place in the quarter-backing of Pittsburgh Steelers this off-season.

In 2024, the team did not obtain excellent results from Russell or Justin Fields, and the two were authorized to go to the Free Agency. However, with the 2025 season getting closer and closer, the team Only notable veteran added this off -season was Mason Rudolph.

Rudolph spent the first four seasons of his career in Pittsburgh, and started 13 games for the team, before landing with the Titans of Tennessee Last Seasison.

The Titans had a difficult year in 2024, to say the least. The team won only three games and obtained the n ° 1 choice of the NFL 2025 draft. Will Levis had a trouble in the quarter, and Rudolph was called to start five games for the team.

The veteran did not give the best results, but the team around him was not great either. Rudolph finished with 1,530 yards, nine affected and nine interceptions.

After this miserable season, Rudolph is happy to be back in Pittsburgh. The veteran passer appeared on the Kaboly + Mack Show Monday And explained that his time in Tennessee made him appreciate more Pittsburgh.

“I think it was just good, for a perspective,” Rudolph said of his time with the Titans. “I think it makes me appreciate Pittsburgh and the way they do things here. And the way the front-office works, and the property, just in mind. Having an external and fresh perspective makes you appreciate what we have at Pittsburgh here much more.”

Obviously, Rudolph probably does not have many good memories of his time in Nashville. The quarter-back has only won one of its five departures and did not exactly lit the statistics sheet. Rudolph has never been a special passer, but he has performed better in the past when he is surrounded by an adequate support cast.

It is difficult not to read these comments as a blow on the titans. The team has not been exactly stable in recent times, the team obtaining another new director general this offseason and crossing several quarters in the last decade.

However, the Titans were able to get Cam Ward with choice n ° 1, so the team finally hopes for long -term stability. Meanwhile, Rudolph will again land a rescue place in Pittsburgh, as a team continues to be linked to Aaron Rodgers.

If the Steelers do not shine the Rodgers, then Rudolph could be invoked as the starter in 2025, at least initially. The Steelers used a sixth round choice on the quarter-back of the state of Ohio Will Howard, but the recruit will probably need time to develop.
