Before the team’s first pre-season match, the Patriots will welcome Washington Commanders for training during the second week of August. Next week, the Patriots will go to Minnesota where they will train against the Vikings before their second pre-season match.
“I think with certainty that Washington commanders will come here, then they will play us,” said Truebel. “And then we are delighted to go to Minnesota. This is a good configuration that they have. It allows excellent work. The Vikings have an excellent football team, and we have already worked with them, so we are delighted to come back up there.”
The two sets of practices will set out the second year quarters.
Washington will come to Foxborough with Jayden Daniels, who was drafted a place in front of Maye in 2024. These practices will be a fun look at two of the most promising young quarters of the NFL.

Since the Patriots have been playing the commanders on Friday August 8, it is likely that the team will train against Washington on August 5 and 6 of this week.
When they go to Minnesota, the patriots will see another young quarter of JJ McCarthy. After missing his recruit season due to an injury, McCarthy is the planned starter of the Vikings this season.
The Patriots will face the Vikings for their second pre-season match on Saturday August. 16. They will probably have joint practices on August 13 and 14.
