And since then, he has done his best to show that he is worthy of being a starter of the NFL.

What followed are the consecutive seasons of the playoffs, division titles, Pro Bowls and the best season (2024) in his career, when he launched 4,500 yards and 41 affected.
Like his team, Mayfield still doesn’t get a lot of praise, but he has a supporter in Pro Football Focus.
In the 32 -quarter starting classification, Pff A Baker at No. 13.

Mayfield must now save him again, with another offensive coordinator in 2025, but at least he will have the best collection of weapons in the NFL to do so.

Seen as one of the best units in football, Mayfield will have weapons wherever he looks. This also includes a stellar racing game led by Bucky Irving.
Mayfield has everything he needs to take this team to the playoffs and in depth.
But only if the deductible can avoid the injury bug that tormented both sides of the ball last year.
Baker, as a 13th best quarter-back entering the season, looks like the right place. If he can meet the high expectations of himself and his team, he could be a little higher on this list in 2026.
