Another NFL season, another new game player for the Eagles of Philadelphia, Jalen Hurts.

Two days after the Eagles won the NFL championship for the 2024 season by beating the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 at the Super Bowl Lix on February 9, the New Orleans named the attacking coordinator of Philadelphia, Kellen Moore, as chief coach.

The Eagles remained internally to fill the position. The Philadelphia game coordinator since 2021, the season when Hurts has become the QB n ° 1 of the Eagles, Kevin Patullo will be the sixth game player of the former signal of the Alabama while he will enter his sixth season of the NFL.

“Coach Patullo, he is also here throughout the trip”, ” Houte says this week. “He had a different position. I have always played a central role in what we have done, and I think he has an excellent mentality and a great approach in any moment.

“And we have always had a certain type of communication in the past in the preparation, and therefore nothing really changes as far as this is concerned. It’s just a little people with different titles. So it is enough to take it one day. I think it’s a season right now, during the offseason, where we collectively try to build the system and structure things like it will be for this iteration of the Eagles.”

Although the change in the coordinator does not mean this time a major overhaul of the offense, Hurts said that there was “Some shades that are differentAnd a change is necessary to prevent opposite defenses from making themselves comfortable.

“You must be able to decode, detect and correct”, ” Houte says“And refine the things you need to refine. I think the situation as a whole is to be able to detect what I can improve and how important it is to improve this. We can all work hard at something, but not necessarily working hard for good things. …

“And so right now, it’s just about laying the foundations, trying to understand what this iteration of the team will be.”

In the first season of Hurts as a starter of the Eagles, the first -year coach Nick Sirianni called the pieces, taking control of these tasks of the man he succeeded, Doug Pederson. But with Philadelphia at 3-6, he gave this obligation to the offensive coordinator Shane Steichen. The Eagles have won six of their next eight games and have made the playoffs.

Steichen remained the Philadelphia game player in 2022, when the Eagles went 14-3 in the regular season and reached the Super Bowl. After this season, the Indianapolis colts have made Steichen their head coach.

In 2023, the Eagles had a 10-1 file before winning only one of their seven remaining games. The attacking coordinator Brian Johnson was a victim of the fall of Philadelphia.

Last season, with Moore calling the games, Philadelphia scored a record for the NFL 145 points in the playoffs.

“Everything looks different,” Houte says. “And so the most important part is, whatever you have in the team, it is a question of finding this flow in team, of creating a team identity. And this is where we are at the moment. It is very early. We are throwing the foundation, always filtering through things. But, obviously, you know as long as we see that we see.”

Changing the game on an annual basis was something that Hurts had already experienced when he reached the NFL.

In her first-year season in Alabama, when Hurts won the offensive player’s prize for the dry year, Lane Kiffin called the Crimson Tide, until he left to become Florida Atlantic’s head coach. Steve Sarkisian described the Games in the CFP national-championship-a defeat of 35-31 against Clemson on January 9, 2017.

Brian Daboll worked as an attacking coordinator of Alabama in 2017. The Tide beat Georgia 26-23 in overtime in the CFP national-championship match, and Daboll left to become the attacking coordinator of Buffalo Bills.

In 2018, Mike Locksley worked as an attacking coordinator of Alabama. He left after the season to become the head coach of Maryland, and he also hurts. After losing the starting place against Tua Tagovailoa, Hurts was transferred to Oklahoma for the 2019 campaign.

With the Sooners, Hurts made his fourth consecutive trip to the play football playoffs and finished as a finalist in the Heisman trophy with the Oklahoma head coach Lincoln Riley, calling the pieces.
