The Tennessee titans are getting closer to the end of their intersaison team activities, or OTA.
This is the last stage of the Titans before the players went on vacation before the training camp at the end of July. The team finished phase two and will enter phase three shortly after the Memorial Day weekend.
Titans’ head coach Brian Callahan explained what he is trying to see his team before next week’s training sessions.
“All so far in phase two is very centered on the individual with regard to position groups”, ” Callahan declared via the journalist of the Jim Wyatt team.
“It is centered on the unit, so you do a lot of things with the unit, but you do not face anyone else. So you are lucky to see guys compete a little. No pads or something like that, but we get a change to see the patterns, guys who collect things in real time and a real speed and a special team.
“Many things schematically, you try to improve, work a lot of techniques and fundamentals. And then you enter the three phase, and you have the chance to see a little more application of these things you work on. So excited about it. This is a good part of the season. Last rise in power before training really when you actually go against others.”
The Titans have a lot to improve after having taken 3-14 last season, and with a new quarter-rear leading the offensive to Cam Ward, there are even more reasons for the team to focus on improvement.
The Titans return to the installation on May 27 and will be there until June 5.
