It was the third global choice of NFL 2018 draft. Seven years ago, the New York Jets seized the USC quarter Sam Darnold. His three seasons with green and white were barely impressive when he played and started in 38 games. In these competitions, he connected on only 59.8% of his throws for 8,097 yards, 45 scores and 39 interceptions. He lost seven of his 20 escapes and was dismissed 98 times.
Darnold was exchanged in Caroline in 2022 and spent two seasons with the Panthers. In 18 outings, there were even more reversals (16) than Touché passes (22). There was a passage with the 49ers in 2023, and Darnold ended up signing a one -year agreement with the Vikings of Minnesota in 2000.

There is certainly a little pressure on the 27-year-old quarterrier after his revolutionary campaign, but the well-traveled signaleur put this in perspective. “The most important thing for me is not to think of reproducing a season like that,” said Darnold. “I think it is really from the start, what can I do to put myself in good position every day to get better? It’s a cliché, but it’s a snapshot for a reason. I will continue to try to improve every day, just like all my teammates.”
Darnold is one of the many new faces of a very renovated Seahawks attack under the command of coordinator Klint Kubiak. It will be interesting to see if 2024 was a turning point for Darnold’s career. Besides, O’Connell will bring his Vikings to Seattle in week 13.
