THE Miami Dolphins Turned through a few long beloved snaps in their history dating from Ed Perry, John Denney, Taybor Pepper and, more recently, Blake Ferguson. But after the dolphins separated from Ferguson, the veteran Joe Cardona should take control.
Cardona, a choice of fifth round for the New England Patriots In the draft of the 2015 NFL, played 10 seasons for the rivals of the AFC East of the Dolphins. But when he was released by the Patriots at the end of April, the coordinator of the Special Dolphins teams, Craig Aukerman, jumped at the opportunity to add the veteran.

“An opportunity to get Joe [Cardona] – When it happened, I think I shared Chris [Grier]The office and said: “Hey, this guy for 10 years in the National Football League at a very high level”, told journalists this week.
“I was delighted with the opportunity to have this chance of getting it, then when he signed, it was really great for us as a organization to bring a guy in it with this type of experience – a guy who won several Super Bowls, who did it for a very long time – so really excited to have it here.”
The long -off is not announced work which requires coherent precision without any room for errors on play days.
“It’s difficult. And that is why these guys – I was very enthusiastic about their process that they cross every day,” said Aukerman. “These are pros and it’s fun to see them understand and talk about different things and communicate, and when you have three or four different long snappers, it’s difficult because perhaps once it is a left-handed and now it will be a different type of rotation that will be on the ball.”

It was a challenge that the bettor of the Dolphins Jake Bailey and the Botter Jason Sanders had to navigate in 2024. With Ferguson gave away for most of the year, the team traveled Tucker Addington, Jake McQuide, Matt Overton and Zach Triner for three games each.
“This is why I give so much credit to these guys, to be able to face the adversity that occurred with a bunch of different snappeurs, then the competitors at such a high level was great,” said Aukerman.
With Cardona in the role in 2025, the dolphins should have the consistency they lacked in 2024.
