New Orleans’ saints have a lot of time during this offseason. By heading towards the training camp and the OTAs, the saints and their fans base will have their eyes locked on the battle of the quarter-Arrière in progress to see which young calling signal will take over for Derek Carr retired.
But it goes much more with the list of saints than the battle of the quarter-arre.
Bob Rose of Saints Wire recently suggested the old choice of the second round of saints Isaiah Foskey was on the “list bubble” Going towards the OTAs and the training camp and Rose seems to have a good point.
“The saints used a second round choice in the draft of the NFL 2023 on Foskey, a very productive rusher of passes to Notre Dame,” Rose wrote. “Unfortunately, this production did not result in the professional level.
“In two years, Foskey has played in an absurdly low 147 defensive snaps, only 8% of the defensive total available. It was not able to break the programming despite only 32 bags combined on board during the last two seasons.”
Foskey simply was not shot in the NFL. It is rarely on the ground for the saints and this also seems to be the case in the future. The saints have chosen to sign Chase Young to a massive contract during the offseason which indicates that it is their future at the limit, not Foskey.
The saints have one of the worst precipitated units of football, but Foskey does not seem to break the programming. This should tell you everything you need to know about the old first choice of recovery. His stay in New Orleans could end as soon as possible.
