Insider says that some NFL teams believe that Aaron Rodgers “is still waiting for the Vikings”

Aaron Rodgers still awaits the Vikings of Minnesota? Apparently, some NFL teams think so.

Rodgers has a permanent offer from Pittsburgh’s Steelers, but he has still not signed a contract and remains a free agent when the intersaison training activities (OTA) approach in less than a month. In an appearance on the Dan Patrick Show, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN said that he had spoken to certain NFL teams who believe that Rodgers still hoped to sign in Minnesota.

“There are teams that I spoke about who still wonder:” Is it to wait for the Vikings “,” said Fowler to Patrick. “Because the Vikings would be an ideal scenario: one of the best game calls in the Kevin O’Connell League, nine Dome games – you are assured of nine Dome games per year – but by checking with the Vikings, I still do not expect this, they advance with JJ McCarthy, so he really has no other option than Pittsburgh or not withdraw with JJ McCarthy, so he really has no other options than Pittsburgh or does not take away right away. ”

Earlier this offseason, there were relationships of mutual interest between Rodgers, a quadruple MVP and Super Bowl champion, and the Vikings, which come out of a season of 14 victories and an appearance in the NFC qualifiers, but lost their quarter-arre leaving a season, Sam Darnold, in a free agency. But for the moment, it has appeared that the Vikings turn to McCarthy, which they have selected with the overall choice n ° 10 in the first round of the NFL 2024 draft.

The wait was that Rodgers will finally sign with the Steelers, and in the previous interviews, Rodgers said that he had not yet signed when he takes up certain challenges out of the field. But with the Vikings who were rolling with a second-year quarter of a quarter that came out of a knee injury at the end of the season, there was no speculation that there could still be a door for Rodgers as a result of the line, something that Rodgers may expect what’s going on.

Anyway, it does not seem that Rodgers finds his way to Minnesota, despite certain teams believing that this is what he expects. It remains to be seen if he will finally sign on the dotted line with the Steelers.

“This is his first free agency foray into a 20 -year career that was very unpredictable, so that was never going to be fluid or easy,” said Fowler. “Otas is in just under three weeks for the Steelers, I think, on May 27, so that would be the target date for them. They would certainly hopes that at that time, he is in the fold.”

These three weeks have almost disappeared. And Rodgers has still not signed with the Steelers.
