Dallas cowboys saw many changes in the runner room during the offseason. The first rusher in 2024 of the team, Rico Dowdle, took place for the Carolina Panthers in the first stadiums of the NFL Free Agency.
Dallas then signed the veteran of the bearer of Ballon Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders, before adding Jaydon Blue from Texas and Phil Mafah of Clemson in the recovery of the NFL 2025.

Albert Breer de Sports Illustrated took a look at the Cowboys back racing situation and shared his reflections on how everything could be played. Williams said at the beginning of the OTA that he started to feel like him again, and Breer thinks he will have the opportunity to prove this.

“I will be interested in seeing Javonte Williams in Dallas. The people of Denver thought that the world of him before a catastrophic knee injury in 2022. He said last week that he finally feels like him,” wrote Breer.
“And the opportunity should be there with cowboys for a back that has been compared, at least stylistically, in Marshawn Lynch.”
During his recruit season, Williams was one of the most promising young backs in the whole league. He played in the 17 games, recording 1,216 yards in total (903 rushed and 316 receiving 43 catches) and seven affected in total (four rush and three receivers).
If Williams can get closer to this superior form, cowboys will have won one of the best interceptions on the market for free agents.
