    No one saw him coming.

Even now, six years later, it is shocking to rethink the announcement of the retirement of Andrew Luck who stormed the world of sport. And the most difficult part for the Indianapolis colts is that they always try to pick up the parts.

Whenever the Negatives of the Emerging Quarter of Indy, it is easy to think about luck. He was supposed to be the face of the franchise for another decade, at least.

Instead, the colts organize an “open competition” in 2025 OTA between the burning burns Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones to see if one of them could be the answer.

Spoiler: They will certainly not be.

Since the chance, the colts have started Jacoby Brissett, Brian Hoyer, Philip Rivers, Carson Wentz, Matt Ryan, Sam Ehlinger, Nick Foles, Gardner Minshew, Richardson and Joe Flacco.

Richardson is the only guy in this list to have left out in several seasons.

MORE: The colts make the decision Key Anthony Richardson against Daniel Jones

Luck is now the director general of the Stanford football program, apparently at ease with its decision all these years later.

It was easy for the colts.

Since luck has retired, there are 48-51 in the regular season. They did the playoffs as a joker team once, in 2020, and lost immediately.

At this stage, colt fans should hope that one of the Richardson or Jones (or both) is bad enough to ensure that Indianapolis is a choice among the first five in the 2026 draft rich in QB.

Otherwise, they will be stuck in this same quarter-Arrière Black Hole for another year, or three, or five.

Luck is looming on Indianapolis, long after surprising the world of football. And at this stage, what the colts really need is a good fortune, or an unhappy heritage of Luck will not go nowhere.
