Legendary names come to my mind when Dallas CowboysSean Taylor of Washington Commanders, Brian Dawkins for the Philadelphia Eaglesand the first African American to play for New York GiantsAnd the first temple of fame, Emlen Tunnell.
Dawkins was inducted in 2018, Woodson should already be in it, and Taylor’s career seemed to be heading in this direction before his tragic death at the age of 24. Current NFC East security iterations do not have a similar curriculum vitae, and the unknown prognosis for their 2025 seasons makes the classification a little difficult.

In other positions, the movement is limited. Commanders who take first place in the cowboys receiver are very unlikely; The giants exceed the eagles of the cornerback are also doubtful. To security, Dallas could upgrade via their backups or their new defensive system. A young twinning in New York could end up with a monstrous duo if their second security makes a jump and their free free edition plays its best. A recruit could raise Philadelphia as their two young corners last season, or a signing of veteran could leave Washington with the best security room in the division.
It was the closest battle to the first in the fourth of one of the East NFC rankings so far.
4. Giants of New York

Tyler Nubin started the 13 games he played as a recruit and had 98 plated and a Focus Defense note (PFF) Pro (PFF). He was not a high -level player either, but he was not a huge negative either. Nubin authorized a percentage of completion of 65% authorized and a note of QB of 91.7 when targeted. He was not a playmaker at the back, with zero interceptions and a single pass break, but he also allowed a touchdown.

Jevon Holland was signed to be the security of the game to associate with Nubin. He had a ton of promises with five interceptions, 21 shortfall breaks, four forced escaped and four bags during his first three seasons. Holland also has an average of 80 plated. He did not make the development jump that the Miami dolphins had hoped, and Holland signed with the Giants. If he can start again to be the playmaker, he was during his first three seasons, then he could be the perfect twinning for the Nubin defense race.
Dane Belton was a spot starter and contributor in special teams for the Giants during his three NFL seasons. It would be a problem as a starter of 17 games, but it is a solid option as a backup.
3. Dallas Cowboys

The cowboys have four safety options at the starting level, but with a third system in three years, it is not clear that will get the starting points and how they will perform in the system. Matt Eberflus prefers that his security will play in the cover, and Donovan Wilson has trouble in this area. He granted a percentage of completion of more than 70% and a score of QB of 130 with only five shortcomings and an interception in 549 coverage. A post-June cup from Wilson saves $ 7 million in the ceiling space. He could be a victim of a cap as easily as the starter.

Markquese Bell was injured early last season, but signed a new three -year agreement. As a second -time secondary in 2023, he had a global pff of 80, a coverage note of 87.6. His defense note was only 62.9, but he was too thin to resist the job race. He started eight games, had 94 plated, four shortcomings and two forced escapes. He can take over for Wilson as a starter, but that does not mean that he will be a good starter, since he has not yet been a departure security in his career.
Malik Hooker is a solid starter who does not have an elite to get the line key line, but who plays well as a versatile option. It allows a percentage of completion of 62% and a QB note of 82.4. Combine these solid figures with his game against the race, and that is why Dallas continues to start it. Pff ranked him 77.8 as a race defender. He had 81 plated and a failed tackle percentage of less than 7%. It is unlikely that it will be supplanted as a starter, but Juanyeh Thomas hopes to develop as an option there and the fans have claimed Thomas to obtain defensive shots. Until we know that will start and how the players will run, the unit will have to receive a lower quality in the NFC East.
2. Washington commanders

Quan Martin was one of the most underestimated players in the commanders reversal last year. He became the full -time starter in free security in 2024 and played well enough to break it as the future in position. He had a percentage of authorized completion of 50% and a note of QB of 75.3, with 87 plated, three shortcomings of passes and three forced escapes. Martin could be a high quality contributor against the race and go to his third season.

Will Harris was signed to be Martin’s running mate, coming out of a resurgence on the Saints of New Orleans. He had his lowest QB note, his most out of the past and the highest tackles for a defeat in his career in 2024. Their depth comes from Percy Butler and Jeremy Reaves, a contributor in special teams who sparked 11 times in seven seasons. Butler had a solid 2023, starting 13 games. He had 64 plated and eight shortages of passes, but was not good on the cover.
Commanders do not have the depth that Dallas does, but having two quality starters is something unknown for cowboys, so Washington obtains second place.
1. Eagles of Philadelphia
The defensive back of Texas Longhorns Andrew Mukuba (4) intercepts a pass to Arizona State Sun Devils, the Large recipient Melquan Stovall (5) during the second period of extension to win the match for Longhorns at The Peach Bowl Football Playoff of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium eliminations in Atlanta, Georgia, January 1, 2025.
Reed Blakenship has been free security underestimated in the past two years. He accumulated 191 plated, seven interceptions and 17 pass ruptures in 30 departures at that time. His PFF notes were all between 72 and 74. He abandoned a percentage of completion too high and on average more than 12 yards per reception, but his authorized QB rating is only 72.5. Blakenship has a good case that it has been the best security in the NFC East in the past two seasons.

His running mate is currently unknown with the departure of CJ Gardner-Johnson. Syndney Brown must play well because the Eagles has drafted Andrew Mukuba in the second round, and he could be the starter as a recruit if necessary. Brown could be a depth piece that plays special teams if Mukuba, which had a note in total of 90 in its last season in Texas, with a cover note of 89.7, is inserted in the starting formation.
Tristin McCollum is a safety in special teams which managed to obtain 250 defensive snaps in 2024, but which is not considered an important contributor in any field except special teams. The Joker could be Lewis Cine, a former first round choice of Georgia which will have the opportunity to present its capacities with an excellent young defense around it.
