A new report revealed why one of the players does not participate in the OTA.
According to the Detroit Free Press’ Dave BirkettRugnow is not satisfied with his current contract.
Rugnow is also unhappy with the extension he signed in 2021 which made him the best paid center of the NFL. He has two years in his agreement and should win $ 9.15 million this fall.
RAGNOW heads for the third year of the contract extension of $ 54 million over four years which he resumed in 2021.
As he signed the agreement, it was the most expensive central contract in the league. Now he ranks only fourth in annual salary at the position.

He also earns $ 4.5 million less a year than Creed Humphrey, who now conducts the position.
Rugnow won a bump with pay with the way he has played since the extension came into force. He was appointed All-Pro in each of the first two years of the agreement.
Ragnet has anchored an offensive line of the Lions which has become one of the best in the NFL in recent years and which has just been 29, should remain an important part of this unit for a while.
There are still a few years on his current agreement, but it would be surprising that the Lions did not work with him to keep one of their most important players happy.
