The NFL announced Thursday that five pre-season games will be televised at the national level in 2025 and, surprisingly, the last of the calendar will feature the Titans du Tennessee.
During week 3, Tennessee titans will host the Vikings du Minnesota At the Nissan stadium in Nashville, Tennessee. The game will be played under the lights and broadcast on CBS at 8:00 p.m. on Friday August 22.
After being excluded from the prime time calendar at the NFL 2025 regular season calendar, the League decided to highlight the Titans on the last Friday of the pre-season. The biggest question is: Will Cam Ward see a lot of action? The last week of the pre-season is generally reserved for those who are fighting for the alignment points, but in 2024, the titans planned the game for the pre-season final and played most of their starters for an extended section.

This presents an interesting situation for head coach Brian Callahan, who will have to weigh several factors. Ward being a recruit, he will need as many representatives as possible before going to Denver for the opening of the season. But what other offensive starters should play with him, and how long? Fortunately, the Vikings will also likely have an inexperienced young quarter-rear under the center of JJ McCarthy, making it an intriguing battle.
This can also be the only time the public on national television will have the opportunity to see Ward in action. After the lack of coverage on Ward and the titans throughout the offseason, Callahan might want to send a message that the titans deserve more coverage.
