We have a long way to go before the list decisions are taken and the starting alignments must be built, but Professional football focus took an early swing to the projection that will start and play key roles in attack for the Indianapolis colts.

The quarter-back competition will attract a lot of eyes during the training camp and the pre-season, but there is also a playing time to be saved along the offensive line and the backup place.

Here’s how teacher football focus sees things shaking for the Foal.

    Quarterrière: Anthony Richardson

As Shane Steichen, Richardson and Daniel Jones will have described the starting representatives throughout the summer, and finally, it will be the most coherent of the two who will win the work.

For the 2025 season and beyond, it is clearly in the interest of the colts that Richardson takes control of the competition. As a younger and higher player, the ceiling of this colt attack is larger with Richardson under the center.

Steichen and Chris Ballard believe that the competition will raise the game of Richardson and Jones. Although it is not a comparison of apple apples, after his return from last season, we saw an improved game of Richardson, which included two returns in the fourth quarter.

A main objective for Richardson This offseason was on his game of legs, where precision begins in the position of the quarter.

Running back: Jonathan Taylor, Khalil Herbert

We know that Taylor will exhaust the workload instead back, but the role of safeguard is the one where Ballard said that the colts needed more production this season. It should therefore be noted that Pff a Herbert listed as backup during the first day of choice of Giddens.

Herbert, who has been in the NFL since 2021, has experience, while Giddens presented his capacities Kansas statewhich included an average of 6.5 yards per race in 2024 and the generation of the 15th most Russians of 10 or more yards. However, like any first year player, Giddens will sail on the learning curve that accompanies the jump to the NFL.

The colt offensive would also benefit greatly if one of the Herbert or Giddens could carve out a pass-paste role and add this element to the Shane Steichen game book, creating another dimension for the defenses to face. This is an area where Giddens can have the upper hand.

On paper, there will be a safeguard ball carrier, but I assume at the moment that we will see Herbert and Giddens this season, although this playing time is breaking between the two remains to be seen.

Large receiver: Michael Pittman, Josh Downs, Alec Pierce

No real surprises here. We will also see Ad Mitchell in the mixture, but a large part of the equation with regard itself more opportunities is to show more coherence. However, with three well -established players on the table of the depths in front of him, with the colts now having Tyler Warren next to tight, they do not really hurt the clichés, in particular with the way in which few large receivers are used at a given time of this offense.

“This next step is like, okay, allow me to learn my role, allow me to focus on the things I can control and pass from there,” said Reggie Wayne about Mitchell. “He backs up Alec at the moment. I mean, you can’t throw Alec. Alec just a great year. I have just understood and understand your place, but when your number is called, be sure to hit a home run and not just a stroke.”

    Earth End: Tyler Warren

Again, no surprises here. The recruit will take place immediately and will be an option superior to this position. But we will continue to see a good amount of MO ALIE-COX and also attracted Ogletree. Two tight sets were the colts’ second used Staff group last season.

Offensive line: Bernhard Raimann, Quenton Nelson, Tanor Bortolini, Matt Goncalves, Braden Smith

I guess it is the configuration that everyone expects to see. The trainer of the offensive line Tony Sparano Jr. said that Bortolini was in competition with Danny Pinter in the center, and Goncalves was competing with the other guards of the list – Dalton Tucker and Josh Syls – but the wait is that Bortolini and Goncalves will win this work.
