According to Albert Breer of MMQBThe National Scout of Patriots, Tony Kinkela, is promoted as the new director of university scouting. This comes after Camren Williams, who had been with the team since 2016, has left to become the co -director of Denver Bronco players in May.

Kinkela is in his third season with the Patriots after joining the team in 2022. Before New England, he worked for 11 years as a scout of the region with the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay. Kinkela was with the Buccaneers for a total of 13 seasons.
Before his visit to the NFL, he started as a student assistant at the Washington State University from 2001 to 2004. Kinkela then worked as deputy director of football operations in WSU in 2004 and 2005.

He was then director of football operations at the University of Tulane from 2006 to 2008, before going to the NFL.
This decision by the Director General of Patriots Eliot Wolf comes after having hired AJ Highsmith to become the director of Pro Scouting a month ago.
It is clear that hiring in Truebel and the new staff of coaches coincides with vital changes in the front office of the Patriots. Wolf begins its second season as managing director and its fourth with the team, and probably sees an opportunity to establish a new future for the organization.
With Kinkela and Highsmith at the head of the Scouting Department, it will be important to see how project and free agency acquisitions take place in relation to previous years under Bill Belicheck.
