In a sense, Bears The same course takes place in the construction of their defense as when they built their last big defense.

Of course, it is a 4-3 defense this time and not a 3-4 as it was during the Vic Fangio era. He also obtained a new defensive leader in the Bears under Ben Johnson Before the true potential of players on the defensive side realized under Matt Eberflus.

They seemed ready to do something big last year before Hail Mary and subsequent injuries.

Fangio gradually built a defense from 2015 when he had players like Pernell McPhee, Antrel Rolle, Will Sutton, Christian Jones and Shea McClellin, until he has Khalil Mack, Akiem Hicks, Danny Trevathan and Eddie Jackson to dominate the offenses.

The Bears will not need to build the talent basin because there are already largely thanks to GM Ryan posts nourishing the whims of Eberflus, who knew what he wanted for an effective defense even if he could not understand how to use the deadlines.

Now, it is Dennis Allen who takes up a defense with staff perhaps slightly far from the ideal for his plan, but not much.

“I had the pleasure of sitting so far on a certain number of his meetings, and that’s all I thought that would be the case,” said coach Ben Johnson. “It is a guy who did it at a high level. He is coordinated, he orchestrated a number of very efficient defenses. That his points are authorized, whether it is the third defense downstream, whether it is the red zone, he has a plan.

“He is super intelligent. We were just sitting in my office yesterday to talk about certain things of management of the game that arose – whether here in Chicago, where I was in the past, where he was in the past and we see the game naturally in the same way. He is aggressive by nature. I can appreciate him.”

The big question the bear is faced with their level of personnel skill, but how long it will take them to work effectively.

It is not a simple approach. Even big guys are invited to do things differently sometimes, unlike the Eberflus diagram. Game already defensive, mounting sweatshirt labeled it “complex”.

“The defense of the Allen coach is very different, do you know what I mean?” The defensive platform Gervon Dexter said. “He throws in many different fronts, many different ways to reach the quarter-Arrière and things like that.

“So, I think that being the type of guy I am, I can play in many of these different fronts. So there are just one and he will move the guys on the way, and the offensive, he will change it on the offensive. It will be good not only for me, but everyone on the defensive line and on this defense.”

Defensive line players will attack but not always in the gap and the field straight. Sometimes their goal is to bring the blockers back and disturb the program. Other times, it works in conjunction with blitz

“We really want to be an attacker style defense,” said defensive platform Grady Jarrett. “We want to be fast, physical, know what we have to do during our assignments. He was clear enough on his expectations for all those involved, from front to back.

“I think it will take a lot of work so that we can do what we are capable of, but it is the beautiful part. It is a process, day after day, and simply establish culture, the way we want to practice, the way we want to play the game. This is what it is.”

Players in the back could be disputed more than anyone, because they will play a new way instead of sitting in the areas. It will be a mixture of covers to an even greater extent than line editors will modify their tactics. The emphasis on a greater men’s coverage will be contrary to the way they played in a predominantly coverage-3 and coverage zone scheme like Eberflus used.

DBS will sometimes assume different roles in order to disguise itself, and jaquan Brisker security loves it. Players like Brisker and Kyler Gordon should flourish.

“Show my versatility, show that I am a Swiss knife,” said Brisker about how it will be used. “(Kevin Byard), and we are going to have many other dbs there, what I like the defense (from Allen). He moves pieces, we direct so many different things, and we can look like everything, or vice versa, things like that, that’s what I like about it.

“Da, he’s intelligent. I know he’s going to put us in the right positions. It will be fluid.”

The problem with more complex is that it can take more time to work it properly.

The defenses of the raiders of Allen of the 2012-2014 era have never really taken it and he has somewhat changed his style since then. They never ranked higher than the 28th in the score or the 18th in authorized yards and actually worsened. When his passage as a head coach ended with a dismissal, they had the worst defense of the League.

With New Orleans, his first defense abandoned the most points in the League and has placed a place in a first year. From 2018 to 2023, he never had a worse defense than 14th in yards or authorized points. He obtained three defenses finished the seven top seven by virtue and four top top in authorized points.

It was a long time to wait for success, from 2015 to 2018. It took as long as it took the Bears to bring it together under Fangio.

The Bears believe that such patience will not be necessary because they have spent four sketches and free agency periods adding defensive talents regardless of the program. It will just be a question of learning and repetition in practice to obtain communication and adapt correctly.

Last year before the training camp and during computer science, finishing the top five for La Défense became a crusade ultimately unrealized.

“Always with some guys from this team last year, we want to be the best defense of this league,” said Coin Demi Tyrique Stevenson. “This defense wants to be the best defense this year.”

It will be difficult but a new start could help. The addition of Shemar Turner, Jarrett and Dayo Odeyingbo cannot hurt.

“I wouldn’t say a new start, I would just say that some of the guys come out the same mentality,” said Stevenson. “We add a few pieces, dogs.

    “It’s time to hunt.”

It may be time to hunt, but until they know what they are doing in the program of more realistic immediate objectives could be in order.

It is unlikely that this is a case where the defense is carrying the offense when it improves as they tried for a few years. Instead, they must all understand it as quickly as possible.
