Myles Garrett opens with the departure of his teammate Originally appeared on Sports Athlon.
Nick Chubb had all the tools of a Bell Cow Backfield star of what he showed in 2019 at 2022. Everything changed after a horrible leg injury put an end to his 2023 campaign in the second game of the season.

The return of Chubb to the field last season was at best dull, with an average of 3.3 yards per report 102 keys in a rile reserved with the Browns of Cleveland. It was a turn of the net and defined spell for Chubb which was to be a piece of cornerstone of the franchise built on a coherent affirmation.
But only two years after this week 2 competition in September 2023, Chubb was a reflection after the fact finally recovered by the Texans of Houston.
It is the harsh reality of the NFL and that with which his own teammates had trouble reconciling. Browns defensive star Myles Garrett opened his time with Chubb, revealing his own efforts pleading with the upper tops to keep his teammate in town.
“It was one of my interviews with (Andrew Berry) a few months ago, asking for the situation with Nick and how it will work, and how we can recover it here,” Garrett said. “I know he means a lot for fans, but it means a lot for us in the locker room. So, it’s an emotional blow to have it here.”

After all, Garrett has only praise for Chubb although there is a harvest of ready -made players capable of having a positive impact on this Browns offense.
“But we must continue to move, continue to truck. We have very talented back in this room, of hungry young guys who have an example hell to watch and shoes to fill. But he is one of the best to do it in the brown and the orange, and we appreciate everything he did.”
Looking through a more positive lens, it is the second chance that Chubb aspires to any offseason and pleaded by its own promotion. If he can devote this momentum and have an impact to Houston, this achievement must be celebrated.
However, it will be difficult for Garrett, his teammates and the Browns fans not to wonder what could have been if his career did not take such a nasty turn.
