Head coach Dan Quinn spoke with the media before training, so an update on Brown’s status will probably not come before Thursday. Be that as it may, it could end up being a great success at the Washington offensive if the large veteran receiver was to miss an extended period.
Brown finished fourth from the team by receiving last year, despite the game in 11 games. He recorded 35 catches for 453 yards and a touchdown – with this Washington electric hail score to defeat the Chicago Bears in the week 8. Brown underwent a kidney injury at the end of the year which put him away for the rest of the regular season and the playoffs.
Commanders brought back the nine year’s pro on an agreement of one year / $ 3.250 million which could be worth up to $ 4.5 million.
Washington has improved its wide receiver room, exchanging the star of the former star of the 49ers of San Francisco, Deebo Samuel, signing Michael Gallup and in writing of Jaylin Lane (4th round). Anyway, it could speed up the need for the deductible to bring Terry McLaurin back to the building.
McLaurin and the commanders have been involved in contractual discussions in recent weeks. After having participated in the first phase of the offseason, McLaurin was absent for the OTAs and has not yet appeared in the mandatory minicamp.
Brown was initially selected by Dallas Cowboys in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL draft. He spent six seasons with the Cowboys, showing a promise from the end of his mandate with the franchise. Brown adapted to Houston Texans in 2023, but was released at the end of the training camp last year, the lover to sign with the commanders.
