The Detroit Lions could be very close to the signing of the wide receiver of the Jameson Williams star to a contract extension.
During a mailbag edition of the Podcast Detroit Lions, journalist Jeff Rison took an online question asking who was the next player likely to receive a contract extension of three choices: Jameson Williams, Jake Bates or Brock Wright.
Rising expressed: “Jamo is sooner than late. Very, very, extraordinarily confident on this subject.”
Detroit had decided to recover the fifth year option on its two first round choices in the 2022 draft, Aidan Hutchinson and the talented Wideout. Williams is expected to earn $ 15,493,000 for the 2026 season.
Throughout the offseason, the former recovery choice in the first round was congratulated for spending additional time in the gymnasium, saving muscles and working to fully understand what the new offensive coordinator Johnson aims to accomplish with the offense.

Williams would have won five pounds of muscle, which should help his ability to eliminate defenders and more easily manage media coverage.
“Yeah, I talked to a few people and they told me why they raise weights and what it helps,” Williams told journalists. “What I took was becoming stronger. I am a little guy. DBS likes to rearerly and stuff like that, so I was able to cross the environment through the seconds, so I just had to get my strength a little, that’s all.”
According to Jeff Rison, Jameson Williams receives the extension of the Detroit Lions contract as soon as possible @DetroitPodcast
