Dallas’s trade for Dak Backup has cowboys behind joy Originally appeared on Sports Athlon.
There are so many things to be treated in a quarter position that without at least confidence, even the most gifted physical features will fall flat.

Joe Milton is currently working to marry the two: the physical and the mind.
The initiates around the star have always echoed one thing since OTA and Minicamp: Milton has no shortage of confidence. And given what he works with – a barrel arm, elite mobility and a legitimate CV – he has every reason to believe that he belongs.
But what makes Milton’s arrival in Dallas even more convincing is how it happened. It was not your standard dumping dumping from late prospects. The New England Patriots would have given Milton a choice – they asked him where he wanted to go.
And he chose Dallas.
Even more revealing? The Patriots refused better offers to send it to its favorite destination. A choice of day 3 without departures, without guarantee of contract – and they have always done it well. This should say a lot about the type of impression it has left.

Maybe New England saw the writing on the wall. Drake Maye is the deductible investment. But the locker room cannot be fooled by politics – and no team wants another Romo / Dak or RGIII / Cousins situation.
The “football gymnast” of 6-6, 240 pounds, with the 85 yards “bazooka joe”, the Milton arm was not better than Maye. But it was good enough, quite confident, interesting enough to justify removing this risk.
As for Dallas?
“So enthusiastic about Joe,” said Cowboys coach Brian Schottenheimer. I was enthusiastic about Joe before doing it … The work ethics are incredible. Talent speaks of itself … It is just an exciting young perspective for which I think heaven is the limit. “”

What Dallas do here?
They simply added a quarter of development with Josh Allen type features, a dry experience, zero pressure and a seat on the line behind one of the most respected leaders in the NFL in Dak Prescott.
Throw weapons like Ceedee Lamb and George Pickens, and you have just given Milton the best possible growth environment in football.
