The former quarter of the commanders of Washington, Robert Griffin III, could have been a little ahead of his time with regard to the style of play. Rgiii was a quarter-threatening quarter-threatening in Baylor before being selected second in the general classification by Washington during the draft of NFL 2012. Although he had a successful recruit, Never taken off after that.
Now, the wave of the NFL with regard to the quarters has a double threat guy or at least a quarter who can somewhat move away from the defenses, something that the quarter of the current commanders Jayden Daniels excels.
It is easy to find the parallels between the recruit seasons of Rgiii and Daniels, but according to the old quarter of Washington, Rex Grossman, there is not much comparison. During Interview with Kyle Odegard From the card player, Grossman, who was in Washington for the Rgiii recruit season, explained why.
“Not really. It doesn’t take anything away from Rgiii, because he came with so much media threw, so much attention, being the second choice of the draft, winner of the Heisman trophy,” said Grossman. “He had just a great personality and I thought he would have trouble, in fact, including training camp practices. I knew he could run and he could do very good things by throwing the ball, but the man, he was not coherent.”
I should disagree with Grossman on this catch. Looking at the statistics, Daniels launched only a few hundred meters more than RGIII, but had nine additional affected in the air and launched four additional interceptions. Their precipitated production was also tied with 891 yards and six affected for Daniels, at 815 yards and seven affected for Griffin III.
By looking at consistency, Daniels and Rgiii finished between 65% and 70% of their passes. The two former winners of the Heisman Trophy were also appointed pro-four and were appointed Recruue offensive for the year of the NFL.
The only real difference during the comparison of the recruit seasons of the two is that Daniels led his team to a regular season record of 12-5 and a race in a playoff series towards the NFC championship match, while RGIII only managed to bring his team to a 9-5 file and to an release in eliminatory series, losing in the Wild Card Round.
The NFL game has changed since the RGIII era, and it radically corresponds to the skills that the two have. Fortunately for Daniels, he was born at the right time to be able to prosper a little more in today’s NFL patterns. Griffin III did not quite give the same thing during his days of play.
Daniels and the commanders hope that he will be able to continue the level of play they saw during his recruit season, let’s hope to avoid the unfortunate fall that Rgiii followed after his recruit season.
