The two guys have not yet signed with the team for several different reasons, and there has been some hostility accordingly. But in a recent interview, the center of the Bengals Ted Karras said that there was no bad blood in the locker room.
“The main thing I mean is, I think, one or the other of our defensive ends, that there is resentment in this locker room for them, and I really hope that the two camps will be able to understand this because we have a very good team,” said Karras. “We had a super productive spring, and you don’t want it to continue in summer.”
Hendrickson and the Bengals have not been able to agree on a new contract, so it seems likely that the Star Edge Rusher will probably play elsewhere in 2025. Which is a shame, because he directed the NFL in bags last season, that any team would like to have.
As for Stewart, he remains the only player in the NFL 2025 NFL who has not yet been signed for his recruit contract. The team would love to do it, because it would help them with depth off the edge, especially if Hendrickson leaves.
