Broncos WR runs the five most difficult CB games of 2025

The Denver Broncos, Courtland Sutton recipient had an excellent 2024 campaign as the best target in Bo Nix, catching 81 passes for 1,081 yards and eight affected. Sutton is the undisputed high end of the Broncos and will seek to improve last season.

2025 will be a big year for Sutton, but there will be a handful of challenges that await him throughout the season, starting with an exceptional cornerback before his second year.

Mitchell was a huge factor in the Eagles victory at the Super Bowl last season, and Philadelphia felt quite comfortable to let Darius kill in free agency to the Pittsburgh steelers. Mitchell’s speed and physics combination makes him a difficult match with Sutton, who is not the fastest guy on the field.

However, Sutton is a very physical receiver, making this match very juicy. The rush to the Eagles passes can go to a quarter-back in a flash, so Sutton will have to find ways to separate quickly and put Mitchell, but it is much easier to say than to do.

Gardner had a year of decline in 2024 due, in part, of injuries because he missed two games. Gardner is always one of the best corners of the league and has locked Sutton in past matches.

Sutton did not succeed more than 60 reception yards during his five games against the jets, mainly due to the garnish of Gardner in front of him. Gardner will have something to prove this year after seeing Patrick Surainte II posting the prize of the defensive player of the year, and the conversation move away from him as the best corner of the league.

Sutton should be very disciplined and leaning into the physical part of his game if he wants to go out in mind.

Diggs had its 2024 season interrupted (11 games) due to a knee cartilage problem, but is considered one of the best corners of the NFL. When Diggs is on the ground, it is a certified hawk with 20 interceptions in five years.

This match is very dependent on the question of whether Diggs is entirely healthy, but if it is, Sutton will have trouble if it is not completely blocking. Diggs can come out of an ACL tear, but that does not mean that Sutton can take it lightly.

Stingley will be Sutton’s largest test in 2024. Stingley only granted 38 receptions in 2024 (one more than supervised) and had five interceptions. He is very fluid in his hips and his Uber athletics, allowing him to face anyone, including Sutton.

The two men excellent on 50/50 balls, it will therefore be a battle of physics and a pure determination to descend with the rock. Stingley is just behind Sutern in terms of talent, there is therefore no doubt that it will be the most difficult opponent of Sutton in 2025.

Sutton is by far the best weapon of reception of the Broncos and will continue to play big games in the biggest games. The corners listed above will challenge physically and mentally.

If Nix wants to continue its growth, Sutton must surpass and go beyond the opposition before him.
