Ex-Raiders HC Jon Gruden react to Damon Arnette News Originally appeared on Sports Athlon.

After a successful training session, Houston’s Texans would have worked on the signing of the old first round choices of Las Vegas Raiders Damon Arnette. The old out -of -competition of Ohio State spent this year playing for the UFL Houston Roughnecks, and his game was good enough for an NFL team to give it a shot.

When the Raiders drafted Arnette in the first round of the NFL 2020 draft, he was met with a lot of rewards rewarded by fans. It was widely considered as a prospect of second or third round.

Former head coach Jon Gruden was not technically the director general at the time, but he had the last word on all the movements of alignment. He reacted to the news that Arnette signed with the Texans.

“I see a guy who reinvented himself,” said Gruden Aaron Wilson from Kprc 2. “He did it in a very impressive way. I hope he will continue to do it. We will all be able to shoot for him. Some of the best stories in which I have been involved with coaching, is to see the guys of adversity. Darren Waller is an excellent example. He had problems and repaired.

Arnette never had the chance to really show what he could do at the NFL level. He only played in 13 games and was struck for a large part of them. Most of it has played very badly, but he never had the chance to rhythm.
