Madison (Wluk) – Wisconsin legislators want a revolutionary scout of Green Bay Packers to take its legitimate place in Canton.
On Wednesday, the state Senate adopted a resolution calling for the temple of professional football renowned Jack Vainisi. He was a scout and a strategist who joined the team in 1950, and to date, he is widely considered as the architect of the Packers of the Lombardi era.
Vainisi spotted and drafted 12 future fammera, including Bart Starr, Ray Nitschke, Forrest Gregg, Paul Hornung and Willie Davis. And when it was time for a new leader to Green Bay, it was Vanisi who urged the packers to continue the coach of the little known giants named Vince Lombardi.
“Together, these players and coaches have formed the base of a dynasty, offering five championships and victories of the NFL in the Super Bowls I and II,” said senator Andre Jacque, R-New Franken, in a press release.
Although he is not a familiar name, Jack Vainisi may have had more influence on the Packers dynasty than any player or coach. In other words, without Jack winner, there is no titletown.
Unfortunately, winner would not live to see the golden era of the packers he helped to build. He died of rheumatic heart disease in 1960, at the age of 33.
According to the legislature of the state of the Wisconsin, it is a “blatant omission” that winner is not a member of the renowned temple of professional football. Legislators now call for its “long awaited” induction.
“If it is not for Jack Vainisi, there may not be a team of Green Bay Packers in the NFL today,” said Jacque. “It belongs to the room with all the other immortals who left an indelible footprint on the professional football game.”
