Head coach Dave Canales said that the defensive plates Derrick Brown worked through oblique pain.

The Pro-Bowler missed almost all last season with a knee injury.

The defense of the panthers finished among the worst in the league, which is a statistic that many of them keep the top of the mind.
“Watching these two teams who reached the chip, how we played against these teams – just knowing that we lost these matches, because we have not finished,” said Ashawn Robinson, defensive. “We did not do things correctly to reach the goal … for me, it fed me to want to come back and do more.”
Canales said the Panthers will be back in the Wednesday training pads.
