Leftwich, who interviewed several NFL coach positions earlier during the offseason, will now focus on developing a critical quarter room in Boulder while the Buffaloes are preparing for a 2025 Pivot season. He took his time to finalize his plans for the coming season. His commitment to Colorado was confirmed in a video published by DNVR, just before the first pre-season of Buffaloes practice.
When Sanders reintroduced it, he asked Leftwich to give his CV. “Ten years in the League, seven years of experience in coach,” said Leftwich. A career with two Super Bowl rings and more recently as an offensive coordinator with Tom Brady and the Buccaneers of Tampa Bay.
The native of Washington DC, 45, is widely respected for his football pedigree. A legendary quarter in Marshall, Leftwich won the most precious Mac honors twice before being selected seventh in the general classification of the 2003 NFL by Jacksonville jaguars.

During his player career, Leftwich appeared in 62 games with Jacksonville, Atlanta, Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh. After his retirement, he went to training under Bruce Arians, as an temporary offensive coordinator of the Cardinals of Arizona in 2018 before directing the Tampa Bay offensive for four years until 2022.
The quarter of Colorado for 2025 will be one of the biggest scenarios in university football. The buffaloes will become the three -year -old leaving Kaidon Salter or the five -star recruit Julian Lewis to start the season.
Salter, the MVP of the United States Conference in 2023, led Liberty to an appearance of Fiesta Bowl, while Lewis made early comparisons with the former winner of the trophy Alabama Heisman Bryce Young. Leftwich should be a precious part of Lewis development as the future of the program. Although its official title on Sanders staff has not yet been announced, Leftwich will probably play a practical role with the quarters.
