Pittsburgh steelers showed a look in the training camp Thursday which is almost never seen anywhere in football.
Call that training 04.
These figures mean runners and extremes tight on the ground. Usually there are 11 or 21 or 12.

But 04? Yes, it’s not a tight back and four ends.
The Steelers did so by putting you versatile Jonnu Smith in the back field.
Pittsburgh organized a shooting game for Smith out of training, by Nick Farabaugh of Pennlive.
Smith is the big pick-up of off-season in unnamed Aaron Rodgers or DK Metcalf. It is explosive and can align all over the training, it is therefore logical that the offensive coordinator Arthur Smith wants to try (after having already trained Smith before).

To make it work, Pittsburgh needs to use its tight ends with large corns as blockers (and potential passes sensors).

Pat Freiermuth, Darnell Washington and Connor Heyward.
The acquisition of Smith really discouraged the atmosphere in the tight room of Pittsburgh, however. Freiermuth was the undisputed te1. Washington was the promising young person. Heyward was the decent veteran who was happy to do the dirty job.
Now that Smith is there, all these roles are launched.
This is a good problem to have for Pittsburgh. You prefer to have more good players than not.
But the Steelers still have things to understand, and it is clear that they have had an eventful offseason, so we will let them be while they work for us.
