The former first round choice is in the running with Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders for the starting point of the quarter.
Berea, Ohio-Quarterrière Kenny Pickett returned to the field for the Cleveland Browns on Friday after missing three training sessions due to an injury to the hamstrings.
Pickett has only done individual work and has not participated in any team exercise. It was always a step forward for the four -year -old veteran, who was to be absent at least a week after being injured during an exercise in the red zone late in practice on July 26.
“Disappointed that he is not complete, but he is very involved in everything we do,” said coach Kevin Stefanski.
Pickett is arguing with Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel and Sheder Sanders for the starting quarter-Arrière point. Cleveland opens the season on September 7 against Cincinnati.
The Browns have three other planned workouts before going to Charlotte, in North Carolina, for a joint practice with the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday. Stefanski did not say that if he provided that Pickett would be complete for joint training.
During the first four training practices, Pickett and Flacco received most of the pictures with the first team.
Even if Flacco has experience with the Browns after having led them to a place in the playoffs in 2023, Stefanski is impatient to see what Pickett can do. Coach staff like Mobility and Pickett’s ability to create racing games.
Pickett was acquired from Philadelphia in March. A selection of first round recovery in 2022 by Pittsburgh, Pickett has 25 career departures with 15 affected and 14 interceptions.
Stefanski did not say that if he planned to reduce the quarter field before he arrived in Caroline for joint training sessions and the first pre-season match on August 8. If Pickett is in good health, it is likely that he and Flacco would get work in joint training sessions, with Gabriel and Sanders who then play in the pre-season match.
“I think that for all our positions, every day is an important part of the preparation of the season and part of the evaluation. Everything is in order to prepare for week 1 and to assess our players,” said Stefanski.
