It is not every day that an unlikely free agent of the University of Minnesota signed an agreement to stay with his hometown of the Vikings of Minnesota, but this was the case with Max Brosmer. Brosmer is in the running for a list place as a backup of the quarter-arre JJ McCarthy. McCarthy actually played for a brosmer rival when Brosmer was at the University of Minnesota, in the Wolverines of Michigan.
