Shane Lemieux joins the Saints of New Orleans.
The former offensive line of Oregon signed with the saints on Saturday. Lemieux played in seven games and made four departures last season for New Orleans and has also spent time on the list of injured reserves.
He was with the saints during Minicamp in June and tried with the Miami dolphins in July.
New Orleans has placed Nick Saldiveri on the injured reserve in a corresponding list movement.
The 338 lemieux offensive snaps last season were the highest since 2020, when he played 504 snaps in 12 games with nine departures as a recruit with the New York Giants.
In five seasons, Lemieux appeared in 25 games with 16 departures both at the left guard (12) and in the center (four), but the injuries tormented her career in the NFL. He underwent an injury to the Ratella tendon which limited him to a match in 2021, an injury to the toes made him miss 16 games in 2022, a torn biceps knocked him out after four games in 2023 and an injury to the toe limited his action last season.
