THE Detroit lions Launch their season in just a few weeks, but the Chicago Bears on the calendar of week 2 offer a little additional intrigue beyond the opening weekend.
The Bears, now trained by the former offensive coordinator of the Lions, Ben Johnson, should bring an improved team to the table in 2025. “I want to beat them, we want to beat them, I’m sure they want to beat us,” said Campbell. “But no, no matter who we play, we are for the blood.”
Campbell said his relationship with Johnson was good, and that they saw each other during the offseason, but there is no grudge. After losing Johnson against the Bears and former defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn at the New York Jets, Campbell said he did not want to miss a beat, regardless of the changes could arrive during his mandate.
“I have already said that, if I did that correctly, I should be able to leave and these guys are not missing a beat,” he said. “I think if you really do your job, it can happen.”
Campbell continued to talk about the difficult Lions program for this coming season, aspirations of the Super Bowl and his relationship with his wife throughout his football career.
