The seventh round of the dolphins recruit criticized after the beginning of difficult pre-season Originally appeared on Sports Athlon.
Miami dolphins have launched their list of pre-season matches with rare 24-24 equality against the Bears in Chicago on Sunday afternoon. The pre-season match presented an opportunity for the beginners of the Dolphins to get a quick hike before giving way to backups and third-checks to assert their arguments to walk around for the coming season.

There were a lot of recruit quarters making their pre-season debut through the league, with Cam Ward and Sheder Sanders organizing solid performance with their first taste for the action of the NFL, but at the other end of the spectrum, it was a start to forget for the recruit of Dolphins Quinn Ewers.
Ewers intervened for the safeguarding Zach Wilson, which finished 5 passes out of 96 yards and led the dolphins with two journeys of touch. Unlike Wilson, the old quarter of Texas had a hard time in the NFL, and according to Doric Sam of Bleacher ReportEwers received strong criticism.

“Ewers failed to take advantage of the opportunity to show his skills in the Sunday match against the Bears in Chicago,” writes Doric, “… ending with 91 yards, no touched and no interception after finishing five of his 18 assists.
The Dolphins drafted Ewers with the 231st choice to the recovery of the NFL 2025 with the hope that the old quarter-rear of Texas could provide sufficient depth for a quarter room which lacked the last seasons. Ewers had received early praise for its performance in the OTAs and training camps, but it was somewhat returned to social networks.
Sam posted a series of publication tweets like Yahoo Sports and College Football Report, as well as Dolphins Beat Writers Omar Kelly and Joe Schad, who were all disappointed with the performance of Ewers against the Bears.

“The Dolphins have selected Ewers with a seventh-round choice in this year’s project, so it is obvious that it will need time to develop,” adds Sam. “Miami certainly hopes to see signs of improvement in the next two pre-season games.”

The recruits that struggle in their beginnings of pre-season are nothing new or surprising, and this is the beginning. Once Ewers grew up in his role, he could carve out a role for himself as a reliable backup. However, his ascent could take some time.
