Miami Dolphins obtains a hard national grade for the 2024 season

The Miami dolphins had to rank among the most disappointing NFL teams in 2024 when they fell to 8-9 and missed the playoffs for the first time in three years, but what type of note would have their performance -Sit should justify?

Well, the people of cbssports.com obviously think a very bad.

Based notes on performance in the field and in the front office, CBSSports.com gave the Dolphins a D +note.

Dolphins were one of the 15 teams that obtained a note from the D or F range, as well as New England Bengals, New York Jets, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Indianapolis Colts, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, Las Vegas Raiders, Dallas Cowboys. , New York Giants, Chicago Bears, Atlanta Falcons, New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers.

The highest level naturally went to the Super Bowl Philadelphia Eagles champion with an A +, the Washington commanders obtaining an A, and the Denver Broncos and Kansas City chiefs obtaining an A-.

About the Dolphins, Bryan Deardo de Cbssports.com wrote: “The injuries to the main offensive players have largely told the story of the Dolphins 2024. While the defense played well (ending 10th in the league in less authorized points) , their success was largely defeated by an offense which was only 22nd in the NFL in a score and 25th in the third workforce.

“The former Tyreek Hill of Tyreek Hill played an injury all the whole season, the open sea Jaylen Waddle also faced the injuries and the quarter-back Tua Tagovailoa missed six games combined with head injuries and hip . For which the Dolphins have not received a lower note after reaching 8-9 and missing the playoffs.

At first glance, it seems quite obvious that the dolphins are taken into account in expectations because 8-9 is poor, but perhaps not as bad as a D +.

And the reality is that even in the games that Tagovailoa started, the Dolphins were a meager 6-5, which is certainly not overwhelming, and there was the usual problem of not being able to beat quality opponents.

In 2024, the Dolphins went 1-5 against teams that finished with a record of victories, with the only victory against the Rams and the defeats against the Buffalo Bills (twice), Seattle Seahawks, Green Bay Packers and Houston Texans .

And Tagovailoa was the quarter-Arrière starting from these six games, except that of Seattle in week 3.

The dolphins, of course, went 2-4 in the six games that Tagovailoa did not start, and it is fair to suggest that they would have made the playoffs if he had started each match as he has it done in 2023.

The dolphins would have certainly deserved a higher note with a return to the playoffs, but this is not how it happened and on the basis of the results, it is impossible to give Miami an too high note.

We would always say that a D + could be too hard because there were eight victories and that the team was still in the running of the playoffs before the week 18, but it cannot be too high, based on the record loser.

    So let’s say that almost.
