Doug Nussmeier returned to the saints of New Orleans, who wrote the former quarter-rear of the NFL in 1994.
This time, Nussmeier will be the offensive coordinator of head coach staff Kellen Moore.
Nussmeier, 54, was a quarter coach with the Eagles of the Super Bowl-Champion and worked in close collaboration with Moore in the last seven seasons. Nussmeier discussed the potential path to New Orleans before Philadelphia ‘victory over the Chiefs of Kansas City in the Super Bowl Lix.
Nussmeier was with the saints from 1994 to 1997 and bounced broncos from Denver to the Indianapolis colts and in Chicago before a season with the BC lions of the LCF (2000). In 2001, he started his coach career as a QB coach of the British Columbia team.
A choice of fourth round from Idaho, Nussmeier has deep links with New Orleans. He met his wife there when she was a cheerleader for the saints. And now he is much closer to his son, Garrett, who is the quarter-rear from LSU to red stick.
Moore and Nussmeier also worked together on Dallas and Los Angeles Loaders Cowboys coaches.
