After eight seasons in the NFL, the choice of first round of the Falcons of Atlanta, Keanu Neal, retires.
Neal, who also played for Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Pittsburgh’s Steelers, announced his retirement with an Instagram position.
“God blessed my family and I in many ways,” he started his legend. “20 years ago, I started this trip. Today, I retire from the NFL. The timing of the gods is always good timing.”

Neal then thanked everyone throughout this trip he started 20 years ago.
“I want to thank the big thank you to the Falcons of Atlanta for the editorial staff and have given me a chance to impact Dallas Cowboys, Tampa Bay Bucs and Pittsburgh Steelers .. thank you for allowing me to continue my career with you.
“I am incredibly grateful for coaches and teammates with whom I had the work privilege helped to shape myself in whom I am today.

Neal did not play the 2024 season after failing a physique with the Steelers, the team with which he played in 2023.
Neal was one of the best hopes before the draft of the 2016 NFL after a successful university career at the University of Florida, which led the Falcons to take it 17th in the general classification that year.
He had an immediate impact as a recruit, totaling 106 plated, five forced escapes and eight passes defended more than 14 games.
Neal would follow his first and the only pro Bowl campaign, totaling a career summit of 116 plated combined with an interception, six defended passes, three forced escapes and two recovery escaped.

The injuries embarrassed in 2018, when Neal tore his ACL when the season was opened against the Eagles of Philadelphia. Then in 2019, Neal torn his Achilles in week 3 against the Indianapolis colts.
Falcons would exercise the fifth year option for Neal, so 2020 was a contractual year that worked in its favor. He had 100 plated, nine for the loss, with an interception.
But Neal ended up signing a Prouvance contract the following season with the Cowboys, an agreement of one year worth $ 5 million. He did it in a meeting with his former head coach, Dan Quinn, who was the defensive coordinator of the Cowboys.
Neal ended up going to the security secondary with the cowboys and played 14 games with 72 plated.
In 2022, Neal signed another one year agreement, this time with the BUCs on an agreement of $ 1.272 million to return to high security. He achieved eight departures from his 17 games, displaying 63 plated, interception and four defended passes.

Finally, Neal joined the Steelers in 2023, but was placed in the injured reserve on November 18, ending his season prematurely.
For his career, Neal had 523 combined plated, 2.5 bags, eight forced escaped and 22 defended passes.
