    Former Hillsboro High Running behind Eddie HillWho continued to play in Memphis and the NFL, died on Sunday, Miami Dolphins announced on Monday. Hill was 67 years old.

    Hill, who played for dolphins from 1981 to 1984, fought against brain cancer for several years.

    Hill, who also played the defensive at Hillsboro from 1972 to 1974, did the second team from the Western Division of the Inter-Nashville League in the second year. His junior season was interrupted by a broken collarbone, and his senior season was destroyed by a broken ankle.

    He also played basketball and baseball and ran a track in Hillsboro.

    After recovering completely, Hill signed with Memphis State and rushed over at least 100 meters in four games. His best match occurred in 1978, when he rushed to 188 yards against Cincinnati.

    Hill was selected in the second round of the 1979 NFL draft as a 54th choice in total by the Rams of Los Angeles. He rushed to a total of 234 yards and a touchdown in 23 games, with a start for the Rams before being exchanged to the Dolphins in 1981.

    In four seasons in Miami, Hill rushed to 209 yards and a hit in 52 games, with three starts. He also had 171 reception yards and two affected in his career in the NFL.

    Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
