Panthers HC Dave Canales lists the 3 best needs of the team for the 2025 off -season

What do Carolina Panthers need the most of this offseason?

Hmmm. . . It may be a good idea to see what the head coach Dave Canales thinks.

Well, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk did this on Tuesday, while chatting with Canales from the NFL 2025 scouting combination. Florio, on PFT liveasked Canales in which areas his team needs to improve most of the next campaign.

“Playfront defensive, above all,” he replied.

This is obvious, because the defense of the historically badged panthers allowed a third row of the League of 179.8 per game in 2024. They also gathered another line of the League with a pressure rate of 16.2% .

    Canales continued.

“Certainly security,” he said. “We have currently had security on the list right now. It is a great accent.

The only security is Demani Richardson, who will enter his second professional campaign in 2025. Meanwhile, Xavier Woods, Jordan Fuller, Nick Scott and Sam Franklin Jr. are ready to become free agents at the start of the league.

    So what about need 3?

“And then, offensive weapons,” added Canales. “Who is this impact player?” Is it a receiver, a tight end or a ball carrier? It can really help us.

Currently, the best passes in the quarter -Arrière Bryce Young – at least those under contract – are the large Adam Thielen, Xavier Legette and Jalen Coker and the tight winger Ja’tavion Sanders. And although the Ballon carrier Chubbard Hubbard has a year of career, the depth behind him remains uncertain.

Canales and Panthers will have a number of avenues to approach these spots, starting with the Libre agency in a few weeks.
