THE Eagles are in a very different place before the free agency compared to a year ago.
At the time, they came out of a 1-6 collapse to finish the 2023 season, and everything was in question. But the Eagles GM Howie Roseman had money to spend and he struck quickly, obtaining Saquon Barkley, Cj Gardner-Johnson and Bryce Huff in the first week of free agency.
A year later, the Eagles headed for a free agency winning a Super Bowl victory, with no as much money to spend – around $ 22 million according to Overthecap.com – and knowing that they will lose some of their best free agents. This could include the defensive line players Milton Williams and Josh Sweat, and the right guard Mekhi Becton.

But Roseman has never been the type to stay pat. And you can be assured that it is not about to start now while the NFL free agency begins on Monday at noon with the negotiation period. This continues until the start of the new year of the league on Wednesday at 4 p.m., when signatures, professions, etc. can become official.
Roseman used the word “different” to describe this offseason, and he pleaded for fans “patience” while he rework a winning list of the Super Bowl.
“It doesn’t mean I try to reduce expectations,” said Roseman. “Obviously, the goal remains the same, but the way we do it will be different.”

Garrett has been linked to the Eagles since he expressed his commercial request to the Brown After the Super Bowl and again during the NFL, combine. But this could be somewhat compensated by the ceiling savings of the signature of Barkley to an extension of two years until 2028 the day before.
