THE Houston Texans knew that they should make several movements before the free agency to release more hood space. So far, everything has gone as planned.
According to Tom Pelissero from NFL NetworkTHE Texans have restructured the three-year contract of the secondary Azeez Al-Shaair. Houston plans to convert part of his salary as a bonus, thus releasing $ 6.26 million in ceiling space before the start of next week.

With legal falsification from Monday, the move gives Texans a little more breathing while they are trying to win a leading name on the market before the recovery of the NFL 2025. Al-Shaair, a team captain, was not at risk of being cut, so the Texans will reward him on the whole line to help the time in the present.
After accepting a $ 33 million contract over three years, All-Shaair, All-Shaair totaled 70 plated, two bags and two forced escaped in 11 regular season games and 12 plated in two games in the playoff series. He was also suspended for three games after the NFL confirmed his call to his blow against Trevor Lawrence in the victory of week 12.
The Al-Shaair agreement marks the second director general of the restructuring, Nick Caserio, concluded this week. He also restructured the Nico Collins wide receiver contract, who released an additional $ 9.8 million in the ceiling space.
The restructuring of Al-Shaair is probably not the last movement that Houston makes before Monday takes place. After exchanging against the large receiver Christian Kirk of Jacksonville JaguarsCaserio is expected to recover his salary of $ 16.5 million in a new agreement with additional years.
The Texans could also restructure Danielle Hunter’s defensive contract to release more than $ 13 million. The same goes for the left tackle of Pro Bowl, Laremy Tunsil, which could release from an additional $ 10 million in the ceiling space. The two would probably come in the form of extensions, thus pushing the money of one year.
Al-Shaair should be back at full speed for 2025, which could be essential to its long-term status in Houston.
