Ya-Sin, 28 29% of defensive shots In 14 games and starting only once. He recorded 13 plated in total and two defended passes.
Ya-Sin spent last season with the 49ers of San Francisco, but once again saw very little action. He only played 62 defensive snaps over the season and only managed three plated with two defended passes. Almost half of these shots occurred in the season’s final against the Arizona cardinals, where the two teams were eliminated claims in the playoffs and the 49ers were completely ravaged by injuries.
Although he has not played much in the past two years, Ya-Sin has been a solid corner earlier in his career, starting 38 of the 52 games in which he appeared in his first four seasons of the NFL. He started with the Indianapolis colts before being exchanged to the Raiders of Las Vegas in 2022 for Yannick Ngakoue, another former Raven.
Now Ya-Sin joins a defense of the Lions which ranked 30th against the pass in 2024, although they are also treated with serious injuries. It will be used more than probably in depth behind the starters Amik Robertson and the newcomer DJ Reed.
The Ravens will host the Lions at the M&T Bank Stadium this season, which will mark the first Y-Sin match against Baltimore since leaving the offseason.
