At a time when many university football players play for two, three and sometimes even four teams, Ben Wrather played five seasons with Northwestern. The offensive line player started at school in the first year in 2020.
Now Wrather continues his football trip at the next level. According to his agency, he received invites Washington Commanders to the recruit camp.

Wrather appeared in 51 games in total during his long university career. At 6 feet 6 inches and 310 pounds, according to the sporting reference, the line player is a very large human capable of moving the defenders.
The Wildcats had no players selected in this year’s draft, but Wrather joined a group of other people, including AJ Henning, Thomas Gordon and Xander Mueller who have a chance in the post-refic process. Most of them are also invitations, although Henning has received a real UDFA contract.
Wrather will have an opportunity with an increasing organization in the NFL. After the quarter-Arrière Jayden Daniels storm the league last season, leading Washington to an appearance of the NFC championship, the front office has passed considerable resources to improve its protection.
After exchanging against the left superstar of the left tackle Laremy Tunsil and using his first -round choice on the sheep of the Oregon Josh Conerly Jr., the commanders have a strong stable of beef at the front. It is not necessarily a good thing for a line player with an invitation to the recruit camp.
WRATERER will certainly acquire the invaluable experience to learn from NFL coaching, but the opportunity to make the team is thin. However, this applies to any invitation to the recruit camp. The distinction between a signature of the UDFA and an invitation is important, because the first has a clearly better photo to have a real look in the training camp.
But Wrather has an opportunity, and he will try to get the most out of it. His NFL dreams are alive, and he has the chance to represent Northwestern at the highest level if things go well.
