The former Large of Colorado Buffaloes, Lajohntay Wester, makes an immediate impression with the Baltimore ravens. Written during the sixth round of the NFL 2025 draft with the overall choice of 203rd, Wester entered the minicamp recruit with confidence and concentration.
On April 28, a few days before hitting the ground in Baltimore, he posted on X: “FLOCK RAVENS FLOCK 🟣⚫ #Overlyblessed #FLOCKUP” – A sign of his eagerness to embrace the moment and to make the most of his opportunity from the NFL.
This energy has not gone unnoticed. Wester was recently presented to the Ravens manager Instagram Page, proudly carrying the equipment of the Colorado buffaloes and an ice chain which said “Been 1”, showing his fanfaron and his pride as a rock when he begins his professional career.
Now that Ravens Rookie Minicamp is underway, the old Buff turns heads with its acute route in progress and its first representatives of special teams – two areas that could speed up its path to the active list. Baltimore did not hide his desire to upgrade the return game, and Wester adapts perfectly to the mold.
“What stands out from him is his return capacity,” said the director general of Ravens, Eric Decosta, in a press release from the team. “He is a turning point of sparkling and explosive clearance. I think that last year, it has become obvious that we must probably improve in this position. We think Wester has the chance to come here and to be a reversal of an impact clearance for us.”
During his stay in Colorado, Wester presented his explosiveness as a turker, with an average of 12.2 yards out of 10 gaps of clearance, including a touch of 76 yards against UTAH which presented its elite speed and its vision on the ground. This type of speed breaking speed is exactly what Ravens could use in the return game, and the first Minicamp images show that Wester gets representatives in this role.
But wester is not only a return man. As fans of buffs know, Wester was a pillar of consistency in the reception game during the 2024 season. During his only season in Colorado, he led the team during receptions with 74 captures for 931 yards and 10 affected. He and the large -scale corner / receiver winner of the Heisman Trophy, Travis Hunter, have become the first wide receiver duo in the history of the program for each record of two -digit affected during the same season.

One of the most memorable moments of Wester came to the color victory of Colorado against Baylor, when he transported a pass of a touch of the hail on the old quarter-arre of Colorado Shedeur Sanders to the expiration of time. It was a clutch game that highlighted the balance of pressure under pressure and ability to deliver when it is the most important.
Given the chemistry he shared with Sanders, it is not surprising that Wester had reflections on the old quarter-back of the buffs without postponing to the fifth round by the Browns of Cleveland.
“I was disappointed that they did it like that,” Wester told the journalists of the minicamp recruit, by Baltimoreravens.com‘S Ryan Mink. “I know that SheDer will enter the laboratory. He will work hard and he will win this work in Cleveland. ”
For the moment, Wester focuses on the benefit of its own opportunity in Baltimore. Whether in the return game, in attack, or perhaps both, he already proves that the Ravens may have obtained a sixth round flight.
And who knows? If Sanders wins the post in Cleveland, fans could attend a buffs meeting on NFL land this fall – when the Browns move to face the Ravens during the 2025 season.
