THE Arizona cardinals Adding seven players to the draft of the NFL 2025 and hope is that some can contribute and have an impact as recruits in 2025. The defensive line Walter Nolen, their choice of first round, and the corner Will Johnson, their choice of second round, may have the highest expectations as a first and second-round choice.
However, of all their recovery choices, it is a selection of day 3 which has the greatest possibility of significant playing time.

It is the second Cody Simon, the choice of cardinals in fourth round.
For what?
This comes back to the players in the list in their position.
NOLEN is in a room that includes two very good starters to Dalvin Tomlinson and Calais Campbell, two established starters from NFL to Justin Jones and Bilal Nichols, 2024 Choice of first -round draft Darius Robinson, then the two lines of defensive line that played the best for cardinals last season – LJ collier and Dante. They go seven deep even without Nolen.
Nolen will have a limited role in a rotation of the players. He will therefore have a limited opportunity to play.
And Johnson?

Well, it has a start -up potential, but the cardinals have their four main rotating players – the veteran Sean Murphy -Bunting, the Garrett Williams budding superstar, the star Thomas and the second round of 2024 Max Melton.
By expecting Melton’s role to increase in 2025, it would mean that Johnson should supplant Thomas or Murphy-Bunting just to be a fourth corner half or play in the same role as Melton last season.
The choice of third round Jordan Burch, an outdoor secondary, is behind Josh Sweat, Zaven Collins, BJ Ojulari and Baron Browning. He should beat Xavier Thomas to be the fifth OLB of the rotation.
But Simon could be via a starter and a player from all versions.

They have an opening as secondary work of “Mike” leaving with Kyzir White who was not re-signed in free agency. They added Akeem Davis-Gonnher, but he has only 11 departures in five NFL season, although he was considered the probable starter. They also added Mykal Walker, but he plays almost exclusively in special teams last year.
Simon was the brain and the defensive quarter of Ohio State. It is not crazy to see him beat Davis-Gone to be the “Mike”, a role which is generally a 100% role of snaps on a defense.
Of all the draft choices of the cardinals, it will not be Nolen or Johnson as the most likely runners. It’s Simon.
