This week, Centraide of New York (Uwnyc)New York giants and New York Jets Celebrated 32 years of partnership during the annual Gridiron gala. Ed Easton Jr. de Touchdown Wire was there while the players and the winners were walking on the red carpet.
The quarter of the jets, Tyrod Taylor, is one of the winners of this year’s “HomeTown Heroes”. He spoke of his dedication to restoring via the Tyrod Taylor Foundation, which aims to support positive progress in the lives of young people in poorly served communities through charity and education donations.

“Impressive to be honest, whether it is the year one or 15th year, as is the case now, it speaks more of a community that was born in me because I only really pay it,” said Taylor, “I am really honored to be a big crowd here and so many great leaders in this room, not only my own community, but also here too.”
Taylor, who signed with the jets in 2024, received the Kyle Clifton Good Guy prize last season, as voted by the team. He played with six other teams, including the Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans and the Giants of New York. He won the Super Bowl XLVII with Baltimore and won a selection of the Pro Bowl in 2015, and hopes to continue to share his experiences in the quarter-Arrière room.
“I Know Justin very well, (We) Trained Together in the Off-Season Down in Atlanta. We’ve Been good Friends throughout this time,” Said Taylor, “So I’m here to support and help the team win in any form or Fashion, where the mes me on the field or the field Able to share some Vital Experience to coach guys through, Whhether it’s in the Quarterback Room or Any position, Any Knowledge or Experience That I Could Offer To The Younger Guys that Helps the Team Win at the end of the day, that’s what I’m here to do.
